Welcome to Delirium in it’s finest form.</i>
In the world of Ivisalian, disorder and chaos are the norm. At the centre of it all is the Grand City of Dal’Sorien. This is where your true story will begin.
Ages have past since a time of peace when the evil of the damned was not a prominent threat. The only record of such a period lies with the Holy Church, the Order of Rion. The creatures now plaguing the lands seem not to care about these fickle divisions, and mercilessly attack the innocent. That’s where the mercenary guild of Myst comes in. These mercenaries, also known as ‘Valkyries’ will take any job, including monster hunting. As long as they get something in return.
Though, this leads to one question: Where did these creatures come from? Is it truly a creation of the Damascian people? Perhaps there is something the Order knows and don’t wish to tell? How do the Valkyries fit in?

In this lovely section, you'll find the outline for a bio. Every character needs a bio, so if you don't want to be thinking your own up, here's one for you! Just remember, whatever outline you use, we need the specifics mentioned in the 'Joining' section found above. If you have a question, feel free to note us about it, or check the F.A.Q section. Anyhow, on to the bio!
Character Name: Every character has one. Not all of them give it out, but they still HAVE one.
Nickname(s): Hey, just because they have a name doesn't mean they go by it, now do they?
Gender: YES. You need a gender. Lawd. There's no such thing as 'unknown' for gender unless you're a hermaphrodite. Even then, you kinda lean toward one side more.
Race: Well, you gotta be something, right? Nobody is nothing...unless you're like...a figment of imagination...but let's not even go there. -_-' Also, if you a creature that naturally has wings, please note that you'll have to have small ones, and be incapable of flight. their are other ways to fly in Ivisalian, besides wings.
Faction: with the Order? Damascian? Ivisalian? Or are you A Valkyrie? Gotta let us know right? (More info on factions can be found in the Creation Tips.)
Powers: Their natural talents. A lot of this can depend on who you chose to be. But it's not completely restricting...so make sure to look in Creation tips again.Also, don't over do it. I mean, everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I don't want any Physchic Shape shifting demons with Black Magic and the ability to use a Death Note or anything. Seriously.
Weapons: What your character can use, and their most proficient one. Again, don't go nuts. No one is a katana wielding ninja, with magic arrows and laser beam cannons. As cool as that WOULD be, we gotta say no SOMEWHERE.
Age: Oh, the lovely age. This means actual age, and possibly the age you appear for you longer living races. Don't go overboard though.
Birthday: Yeah, I know. Not really important...but it couldn't hurt, right?
Marital Status: Some characters are married or already in a relationship, right? So, let others know. ^.~ Be proud of it.
Height: Yeah...it's helpful to know. Especially for us artsy types.
Weight: Can't have height without weight, right?
Family: You had to have a family. You weren't born from thin air. Sure, they could be alive, dead, missing...but you HAVE one.
Dreams/Goals: not everyone has 'em, but some people yearn to be known around the world...or kill their betraying brother...so yeah.
Likes: Just some basic things. Don't list every insignificant thing. I mean....their favourite things.
Dislikes: Pretty well same as above...but reversed.
Fears: All people have at least one thing they fear.
You're not the almighty whom fears nothing. Don't even pretend.
Personality: Or lack there of. What's your character like? Are they the biggest jerk to hit the face of the planet? Maybe they're a hippie? Who knows? Let us see.
History: Be as detailed or brief as you like. But hey, you're not a new born. You have a history.

Alrighty! Here you'll find tips on creating a character not only for Valkyrie Project, but in general as well. Of course, we'll start with the VP info.
Order of Rion tips</u>
One of the main things to know about the Order of Rion is that they ARE the more religious types. No, they are not the god fearing church of -insert whatever here-. They do not have beliefs they force on others, and preach whatever. They do have churches, but that is where people reach them.
They are more of the magic users. So they lean more to the fantasy side of the spectrum. Generally they're the more docile and kind in personality. Of course, this doesn't mean it doesn't have your friendly neighbourhood crusader who's crazier then a silly straw. We all have them. But, keep in mind, Order members have a low tolerance for the Damascians. There are some with a kind enough heart to give them a chance, but generally, they would rather let'em burn then do so.
Damascian tips</u>
Damascians are a very serious race. They're more technologically inclined the the Order, but they aren't the greatest at magic. They are generally looked at as the bad guys because of the origin or the beasts that torture the land now. Yes, they can be good humoured, but they are called to do things for their land often, and don't object.
Like the Order, they have both sides of the personality extremities, but Damascians are pretty much anti-Order. They trust little to no one in it, and are more the type to attack on sight. Things like cyborgs or androids are most likely to be found in this category.
Ivisalian tips</u>
The citizens of the land. They are the unorganized of the factions. Some are striving to join the Myst and become Valkyrie (an actual application has to be made to go from a Ivis to a Valkyire, in which you'll be given a test to accomplish), some believing in the way of the Damascian, others the order. Naturally, you have the people who just don't give a damn. If you're a magic user who's pretty good at techno-junk, or a tech-nerd with some magic know how, or an alchemist whom mixes both, you're most likely to fall here.
The citizens can be anything from a common baker to a Myst member in training, adventuring the lands to make a name for yourself. They have differing personalities with no restraints other then to defend themselves from the monsters now inhabiting their world.
Valkyrie tips</u>
Valkyries, first off, are mercenaries. You can be one hell of a nice guy, but as a merc, you're not going to help someone without getting something in return unless you're a) madly in love with this person. b) Are related to them in some way or c) are being paid by someone ELSE to help them. Valkyrie may be kind hearted, but you're not gonna risk your life without income.
They have the mysterious power to grow wings (of the applicant's choice (( Though they must be approved)) ) and are known for fighting. They can be hired to do jobs here ant there, but you can be turned down by them. Some Valkyries are such jerks that unless you're paying them the big bucks, they'll tell you to hit the road. Valkyries, like Ivisalians, can be a nice mix of tech and fantasy. But not everyone can be a Valkyrie.
Now, here you can find some more tips that can help you create characters for your own stories and comics as well.
1) Determine a gender before writing the character. Gender can surprisingly impact their personality more then you'd guess. So, if you're not sure, flip a coin. Best two out of three. But if you're sure of their gender, then don't worry about it, right?
2) Try to make their appearance match their personality. If your character is a master of stealth, I don't think giving them a rainbow ensemble is very...erm...smart. Come on. They need to hide and sneak about. A bright yellow turtle neck with a florescent pink mini skirt or magenta pants isn't the best idea.
3) Take in their setting. If you're from a fantasy world, you're not going to be running around with cellphones and mp3 players. Likewise, if you like in the modern world, I don't think sporting a cape and carrying a sword is gonna help you fit in. Well, unless there is a Ren fair in town. You'd fight in then.Moving on.
4) Species will effect your character. If your character is a fire species, they're not gonna be keen on swimming or snowy days. This could also effect their personality. Fire types can be quick to make judgments and get angry fast...but still be a warm person on the inside. You just have to avoid getting burned by their exterior, get what I'm saying?
5) Upbringing is a commonly over looked one. If you have had a life of abuse, neglect, a mental instability, you're not going to be the happy flower child that loves life and wants to share it with the world. you can try to hide it with a smile, but no one can handle too much trauma without it taking a toll somehow. Think realistically.

Things You Ought to Know
1) First off, YES, we do support ALL form of affection. Be it straight, gay, bi, leabian...we accept it ALL. Not doing so would make us total jerks. Just don't force yourself on someone who is uncomfortable with it though. If this is happening to you, tell us. We want people here to have fun.
2) This club takes place on Ivisalian. So, not, there is no Japan, no America, no Canada. I don't mind you mentioning a nationality in your bio, so we have an idea of what they're like....but please keep in mind that it is an original world. No running off to Paris, or buying your clothes from Tokyo.
3) No, there aren't aliens and space colonies. There is technology...but that's pushing it to a sci-fi space opera. Not that I don't love mech anime with that or anything, it's just not in this.
4) Not everyone will be accepted immediately. It takes some time to process things, and even the best character sheets can take some tweaking at times. The mods and founders are more then happy to assist if you're confused about something. Don't be afraid to ask. We're nice people...when you're looking anyways. Kukukukukukukukuku.
5) Have fun, and don't be afraid to make suggestions. Feedback helps us get more ideas. We like to hear from our peers while handling something for your entertainment.
6) We're not perfect ourselves. If you see a mistake somewhere, let us know. We'll do our best to fix things.
7) If you have a problem, complaint or concern, give us a shout. We're understanding people. We want to make sure everyone enjoys themselves. I can even take notes on my personal account found on the front page.
